Blueberry
Blueberries will thrive wherever azaleas grow so, with delicate bell-shaped flowers in spring, fresh fruit in summer and spectacular red-orange foliage in autumn, so why not plant blueberries instead? Commercial varieties are harvested up to a week before they arrive at the supermarket, making them tough-skinned and tasteless. Growing at home and picking straight from the bush gives you the tastiest, juiciest fruit, packed with antioxidants. Expect around 3-4 kilos of fruit per bush.
