This evergreen shrub for a sunny, sheltered position covers itself in deep-golden daisy-like flowers that bring bright splashes of colour to the garden from autumn through winter. Easy to grow and an excellent companion plant, its highly fragrant lemon and tangerine scented foliage and dried flowers are used in potpourri and as a pest repellent in the garden. Particularly effective in deterring whitefly from tomatoes.
How to grow
Likes a sunny but sheltered position in a range of soils, provided they drain well. drought-tolerant once established. Cut back periodically to promote flowering and to ensure bush doesn't become straggly. Prunings can be dug into the soil and kept moist during decomposition to deter nematodes. Scented leaves are effective as a pest repellent and deterrent for white fly and other harmful airborne pests.
