Tayberry
A unique cross between the blackberry and raspberry, the Tayberry produces large, conical fruits that ripen to a rich, ruby red. Renowned for its sweet-tart flavour, the Tayberry is perfect for fresh eating, jams, and desserts, adding a burst of summer goodness to any dish. The vigorous vines are best grown on a trellis or support system, with canes reaching up to 2 metres in length. Tayberries thrive in well-drained, sunny positions and are frost-hardy, making them an excellent choice for cooler climates. Ready to harvest in late summer, they reward the gardener with a generous yield of delicious berries. Ideal for gardeners seeking a hardy, high-producing berry that offers both ornamental appeal and a bounty of fruit.
How to grow
FLORICANE - These berries fruit on second year wood. Prune after fruiting, but only remove the canes that have already produced fruit.
