First introduced in 1987, ‘Beauregard’ has become the most popular sweet potato in the world. An easy-to-grow and versatile health-giving staple root crop, sweet potato can be used in a wide variety of dishes, both savoury and sweet. ‘Beauregard’ is fast to mature and a highly productive variety suited to Australian conditions. Train up a tee-pee or trellis to maximise harvest. Plant a month after the last spring frost in to well drained soil enriched with fertiliser and organic matter. Harvest in 4-6 months.
