Smoke bush 'Grace'

One of our absolute favourite cultivars of smoke bush, ‘Grace’ is grown for its beautiful purple foliage and glowing autumnal tones as well as the huge, feathery blooms that form above the foliage in spring and cover the plant with hazy, smoky puffs. These ‘smoky’ blooms are much sought after for floristry arrangements.
How to grow

Drought tolerant once established, smoke bush prefer an enriched well-drained soil with supplementary water during establishment and extended dry periods. Often pruned to just a few simple trunks to highlight their smooth bark and stunning plumes. Suitable for hard pruning, copicing and hedging, although when left natural, they make a stunning addition to the rear of the garden.
