Salvia Muirii
An exceptionally tough salvia originating from South Africa. The dainty pale sky-blue flowers cover this compact shrub-like salvia from spring through to autumn. Small soft green leaves lend well to clipping for small hedges or features. The perfect candidate as a foreground planting in dry-tolerant or gravel gardens, it copes well in tough conditions once established, including hot dry summers, light frost and cold winters.
How to grow
Plant in full sun in well drained soil. Dry tolerant once established, also copes well with cold conditions and light frost. Prune back by half after flowering has finished to maintain a compact growth habit. Remove spent flowers regularly to promote repeat flowering.
