Salvia Macrophylla
A grand and stately salvia with luxurious large mid-green leaves that create a tropical effect. Erect flower spikes open to reveal beautiful mid-blue tubular flowers with white anthers throughout the warmer months.
How to grow
Plant in a sunny or part shaded position in fertile, free-draining soil. Drought-tolerant once established but benefits from supplementary summer watering. Sensitive to frost but may recover from rootstock if damaged. Plant in a shaded corner to bring a lush, tropical effect with this salvia’s luxurious, large mid green foliage. Prune hard in winter to allow new spring growth.
