Rockdust

WHAT IS ROCKDUST? Rockdust is a natural mineral soil improver, formulated from crushed rocks and other organics to replace many of the essential micro-nutrients that are found naturally in fertile soils. Normally derived through the process of weathering and rock degradation, these fine particles act as an organic soil improver, releasing trace elements and minerals into the soil, while also naturally improving the water holding capacity of your soil. HOW DOES IT WORK? Rockdust is a concentrated product, which means lower application rates and lower costs. A normal fist-sized rock has a surface area of a few square metres, however grind that rock down to a fine powder and the rock has a surface area of several thousand square metres. This means microbes can much more quickly and easily access and consume the rock’s minerals, thus more rapidly digesting them into plant nutrients. Therefore, you don’t need to apply as much. Rockdust also improves the water absorption of the soil, helping to conserve up to 30% more moisture in the soil. Rockdust provides up to 100 minerals and trace elements to produce better tasting and nutrient-filled fruit and vegetables, as well as providing a food source for soil life, like microbes which are essential for both soil and plant health. HOW TO USE ROCKDUST Apply Rockdust to new garden beds, lawns, vegie gardens and established gardens at a rate of ONE HANDFUL (100g) PER SQUARE METRE. Reapply during fruiting and of autumn and spring. Suitable for: Flowers, Natives, Vegetables, Trees, Soil, Lawns, Bulbs, Perennials, Roses, Herbs Rockdust increases plant growth, yield, nutritional value and flavour. 2kg bag that covers 20 square meters.
