A true performer in Australian gardens, it’s hardy, low-maintenance, and effortlessly self-seeds for naturalistic charm year after year.
How to grow
Drought-tolerant once established, penstemons are easy care perennials suitable for most conditions. Plant in full sun in an enriched, free-draining soil. Water regularly during establishment and extended dry periods for improved flowering and performance. Prune back to a low mound after flowering to maintain a compact habit.
