Lepechinia hastata
Elegant stems to one metre carry spires of deep dusky maroon flowers. As tough as it is handsome, this upright shrubby perennial looks great in the garden when contrasted against purple and/or silver foliage.
How to grow
Plant in full sun in a free draining soil. Prune in late winter to maintain a compact habit. Drought tolerant once established.
