Hollyhock 'Black'

This striking, carmine, almost black variety has been grown for centuries and it was documented by famous English botanist, John Parkinson, in 1629. A classic cottage garden heirloom, hollyhocks were commonly grown around the outhouse so well-to-do ladies didn't have to ask where the bathroom was- they just looked for the tall flower spires!
