Hellebore 'Double Reverse Picotee'
A true rarity, Hellebore double reverse picotee is an exquisite winter-flowering perennial that turns heads with its intricate, layered blooms. Each fully double flower features soft purple, delicately edged in pale pink, creating the sought-after ‘reverse picotee’ effect. The extra petals add a touch of opulence, making this a standout in any shaded garden.
Flowering through the coldest months, this long-lived beauty thrives in dappled shade, bringing colour and charm when little else is in bloom. Hardy, evergreen, and drought-tolerant once established, it’s perfect for naturalising beneath trees, softening garden borders, or displaying in a decorative pot where its intricate detail can be admired up close.
How to grow
Hellebores are resilient garden plants and are best grown in the ground. Plant in part shade and water regularly during dry periods and establishment. Remove old foliage when new growth appears in autumn. Apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or quality compost at this time too. Watch for aphids and spray if necessary. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage increased flowering.
