Helichrysum ‘Salmon Rose’
A delectable paper daisy in soft hues of apricot and peach. 'Salmon rose' adds a soft tone to a meadow planting or vase display. Ideal pastel for planting with perennials or other annuals in a cut flower garden or tough enough for a dry garden. Helichrysum flowers have been an outstanding selection from the 2020 Diggers Flower Trials and can be grown in a variety of garden situations from the perennial to dry garden or a flower meadow. The long flowering performer is an excellent cut flower and the ultimate dried flower which hold the jewel colour for long-lasting beauty.
How to grow
Tip pruning when Helichrysum plants are approx. 20cm will encourage more flower stems. Regularly deadhead to encourage repeat flowering throughout the summer season. To dry the flower, harvest soon after the flower opens, remove excess foliage and hang upside down in a well-ventilated position out of direct sunlight.
