Geranium 'White Guernsey'
This cool-white selection of giant geranium features large incised palmate leaves up to 25cm across. The foliage is topped by a huge bouquet of abundant starry white flowers with subtle pink centres from spring, which decorate the garden at Christmas. Rarely offered (you'll never see this one in the box stores), it is an eye-catching feature in moist, sunny or part shaded areas protected from harsh afternoon sun.
How to grow
Plant in full sun or light shade in moist, humus fertile, free-draining soil. A biennial, first year seedlings will flower the following year before completing its life cycle. Leave flowerheads to self seed for a succession of new plants each season. Water well during growing period, protect from hot afternoon sun and mulch root zone to retain moisture.
