Double Fringed Tulip 'Sensual Touch'
Double fringed tulips are a spectacular addition to the garden featuring double the petals, interesting fringed margins to each flower petal and shading which is unique to each bloom.
Tulips need at least six hours of sun a day to flower at their best but keep them protected from afternoon sun. Tulips also need good, drained soil. Dig a hole as deep as three times the bulb height. Put the tulip with the tip up and roots down, in the hole. Cover it with soil, give a little bit of water and wait for the magic to happen. If you live in warm climates, you will need to place your bulbs in the fridge for 4 to 6 weeks before planting. After flowering and all leaves have turned brown, remove the bulb from the soil. You then store the bulb in a cool, dry and airy position. It’s a good idea to wrap it in some newspaper or a brown-paper bag.
