Columbine 'White Barlow'
This striking granny’s bonnet is named after Nora Barlow, Charles Darwin’s granddaughter. The nodding flowers are composed of layers of white petals reminiscent of a lady’s petticoat. Ideal for bringing a splash of colour to shaded areas throughout spring, the maidenhair-like foliage offers an excellent contrast to other shade-tolerant perennials. Suitable as a cut flower.
How to grow
Plant in an area with moist but well-drained soil in part shade. Deadhead regularly and cut back in autumn.
