Clary Sage 'Vatican Pink'
From late spring, large flowering stems of glowing lilac pink bracts unfurl gracefully above a rosette of velvety foliage. Each stem extends to reveal a stunning display of tubular mauve flowers. A widespread Mediterranean species, Clary Sage has been long cultivated in Europe since medieval times, for an array of medicinal uses. Tolerant of drought and poor soils, this salvia will thrive in the toughest spot. Clary Sage 'Vatican Pink' is more compact and attractive than the species.
How to grow
Biennial or short lived perennial although officially a biennial, will seed freely and some seedlings may flower in the first year.
