Chaste Tree
A plant steeped in history, Chaste Tree or Monk's Pepper has been used as both a decorative flower and spice since ancient times. This delightful deciduous tree produces spires of fragrant lilac flowers in late spring/summer which bee's flock to. Suits coastal, cottage and dry gardens.
How to grow
Water to establish, but once it's established, water isn't needed outside of prolonged drought. Prune during winter to help keep the shrub in an attractive shape and control its size. Dead head to prolong flowering.
