Ceanothus 'Yankee Point'
A striking evergreen shrub with a mounding, horizontal form. Its relatively large shiny green leaves provide a dense ground cover year-round, transformed in spring by a haze of pale-blue flowering panicles that smother this elegant compact shrub. A tough plant from the Californian hills, it tolerates hot, dry conditions and frost, making a superb backdrop for spring flowering bulbs like daffodils and bluebells and other flowering perennials.
How to grow
Prefers a full sun or lightly shaded position in fertile, free-draining soil. Appreciates afternoon shade in hot areas. Drought and frost tolerant once established. Trim immediately after flowering to maintain a compact habit.
