Botanica Tours The Diggers Club Gardens

In spring, we hosted 24 of our incredible members in our gardens as part of the Botanica World Discoveries tour. These tours offered a glimpse into what makes gardening - and our community - so special.

Botanica Tours The Diggers Club Gardens

This spring, The Diggers Club had the privilege of hosting 24 of our incredible members from across Australia for a series of unforgettable tours with Botanica World Discoveries. With 10 locations visited, abundant knowledge-sharing, and new friendships formed, these tours offered a glimpse into the heart of what makes our gardening community so special.

Both new and long-term members travelled from different climates and corners of the country, gathering to explore the beautiful landscapes of our gardens and exchange their wisdom and passion for plants. These tours were not just about admiring the blooming flowers or taking notes on the latest gardening techniques, though those were certainly highlights; they were about something even more profound – connection.

In each conversation, it was clear how dedicated and passionate our members are about preserving and growing heirloom plants and promoting sustainable gardening practices. There were discussions on everything from soil health and composting methods to rare native species and edible gardens. Many shared personal stories about seeds passed down through generations – a testament to the deep-rooted love of growing that stretches back through family lines.

We are so proud of the community that has formed through Diggers, and the Botanica Tours exemplified the spirit of sharing, learning, and nurturing that makes our club unique. The friendships formed, ideas exchanged, and inspiration found will carry forward into gardens across the country.

For those who joined us, thank you for your passion and participation. Your love for gardening is what makes this club a thriving, vibrant community. For those who couldn’t make it, we look forward to seeing you at future events – there's always more to explore, learn, and grow together.
