Sarah WainMeet us at one of the Digger's spring lecture and lunch events 2010 - Celebrating the modern kitchen garden. Join our special guest Sarah Wain and Clive Blazey for lunch and lecture to learn about ideas and plants to create your own.

Clive Blazey and the Digger's team are thrilled to have esteemed ornamental kitchen gardener Sarah Wain return to Australia in October this year to meet gardeners and Digger's members at a series of lunches and lectures in capital cities and country gardens.

West DeanSarah Wain, one of Australia's most talented horticultural exports has made her home in England for the past 19 years and along with husband Jim Buckland, has created one of the world's most beautiful vegetable gardens at West Dean, Chichester. Sarah's vision, sense of design and style have transformed an interesting historic garden into one of the finest. "We are indeed extremely lucky to have Sarah, an extraordinarily talented and visionary gardener, come back to Australia and share her knowledge and skills," says Clive Blazey.

As well as hearing from Sarah and Clive we will also meet some of Australia's leading gardening editors and writers at various locations around Australia.

• In Brisbane Steve Payne and Annette McFarlane from Organic
Gardener magazine. Friday 15th Oct: 12 noon – 3pm

• At Lanyon, one of Australia's most outstanding homesteads on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River near Canberra, Christine Reid from Australian Country Style magazine will join us.
Tuesday 19th Oct: 10.15am – 3.00pm

We will also visit the Adelaide Botanic Gardens.
Thursday 21st Oct: 12noon – 3.00pm

• In Tasmania we meet Jennifer Stackhouse from Gardening
Australia magazine to look through Marlbrook, one of Tasmania's
most beautiful gardens and then continue just up the road to Epsom House in Pontville for the lecture and lunch.

• To finish the tour Digger's will host a masterclass at both St Erth and Heronswood.
